Two Edmonton men, ages 19 & 21, have been charged after a significant amount of crack cocaine (1.5 kg) was seized from a Lethbridge home.

Two Edmonton men have been arrested after Lethbridge Police and the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team seized $150,000 worth of crack cocaine. The investigation started back in July as a result of a public tip. Last week, officers went to a home on 13th Street South and found 1.5 kilograms of crack, along with cell phones, marijuana, and cash. Police say the drugs were already packaged for street-level sales. LPS and ALERT Staff Sergeant Jason Walper says police are confident this bust has put a dent in Lethbridge’s drug trade. He says this is a significant seizure not only in terms of the amount of drugs seized, but also for the safety of the community 21 year old Brandon Ferguson and 19 year old Abel Gebeyehu, both of Edmonton are facing a list of drug-related charges. - Pat Siedlecki
