Work is quite noticeable from the outside of the ballpark with the creation of an upper concourse which will include a full-service concession, extra bathrooms, and a new press box.
Renovations to Spitz Stadium are taking noticeable shape. Work on phase two has been going on for a few months now and people can notice a major change from the outside. Project Manager Ric Johnston says they're creating a "top-down grandstand type format" which will make for a much different looking Spitz Stadium. He notes it'll have an upper concourse which will include a full-service concession, extra bathrooms, and a new press box. The $2.3 million dollar renovation should be finished and ready for the new baseball season in early May. Johnston says this is all aimed at enhancing the overall fan experience at Spitz Stadium with a more open feel and a number of new amenities. - Pat Siedlecki
