Shannon Phillips is being featured on a massive highway billboard, demanding she be fired over the Bighorn Country consultations.

A new billboard popped up Wednesday (Mar. 6) along a busy stretch of Alberta highway and it's already causing quite the stir.

The semi-trailer ad along Highway 2 south of Leduc, targets Lethbridge West MLA Shannon Phillips, with the words "Albertans Just Can't Trust Shannon Phillips" and a website address reading FirePhillips.com.

The ad was put up by conservative media group, The Rebel Media.

Drew Westwater with Elections Alberta says their looking into things after being notified through social media. "As with all election advertising we review it to see if it meets requirements of the legislation or if it's even covered by the legislation to meet requirements."

The Rebel Media says the ad was paid for by its supporters. It targets the province's NDP Environment Minister over the Bighorn Country issue in central Alberta.

Phillips came under fire a few weeks back for cancelling consultations on Bighorn, citing public safety concerns. The opposition United Conservatives jumped on that, accusing Phillips of lying and demanding she resign.
