Canes Blank Warriors 5-0 in Moose Jaw, Tetachuk With Second Shut Out

The WHL's Rookie of Month for February started off March with a bang, blanking Moose Jaw 5-0 Friday night.

Carl Tetachuk earning his second shut out in a week as the Hurricanes blanked the Warriors 5-0 in Moose Jaw Friday night.

The Lethbridge goaltender stopped all 35 shots he faced to earn the shut out. The Canes had five different goal scorers in this one including Jake Elmer, Jake Leschysyn, Jackson Shepard, Nick Henry, and Dylan Cozens. 

The victory improves the Canes over all record now to 34-18-5-5 on the season. They are 2-1 on this current Saskatchewan road trip. The Hurricanes remain two points back of Edmonton in the race to first place in the Central Division, a close race which has been going on for the past three weeks.

The Hurricanes close out this road swing Saturday (Mar. 2) in Regina when the Pats. The WHL's regular season ends in two weeks.
