Chief Mountain Border Closing for the Season; Wild Horse Resuming Regular Hours

The Chief Mountain port of entry into the United States will shut down at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday (Sep. 30).

The Chief Mountain border crossing just outside of Waterton Lakes National Park on Highway 6 is set to close for the season this weekend. The Canada Border Services Agency says the port of entry into the United States will shut down at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday (Sep. 30). It'll re-open next summer on May 15. From May to August, officers at Chief Mountain welcomed 68,000 travellers. In addition, the Wild Horse port of entry will be resuming its regular hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 1.
