Former Teacher Accused Of Sexual Assault Makes Another Court Appearance

The case involving a former Southern Alberta teacher charged with several sex-related offenses was back in Lethbridge Provincial Court on Friday.

The case involving a former Southern Alberta teacher charged with several sex-related offences was back in Lethbridge Provincial Court on Friday.  37 year old Jamey Kristian was initially charged with sexual assault and sexual interference early this year.  Then in June another 19 charges were filed including possession of child pornography.  He was an elementary school teacher in Raymond, but is no longer employed by the West Winds School Division.  Kristian was released from custody last week and is living with is parents in Central Alberta.  The Crown with the Special Prosecutions Office in Calgary is now handling the case, with the next court date scheduled for October 24th. - Bryan Jeannotte
