The complaint filed by former Town Councillor Donna Courage in 2018 has been dismissed by the Alberta Human Rights Commission.
The Town of Claresholm no longer has to worry about a human rights complaint which had been filed by a former Town Councillor.
The Alberta Human Rights Commission sent a letter to Council a few weeks ago stating it had dismissed the complaint.
Last year (2018), a complaint was filed by former Councillor Donna Courage who alleged she was assaulted by an unknown man at her home who asked her to keep quiet and leave town.
She ended up resigning last summer.
Claresholm RCMP had issued a number of public pleas in the past year, including a composite drawing of a suspect, however no arrests have ever been made.
The Human Rights Commission has told the Town after looking into the matter it determined there was no reasonable basis to proceed.
