Hurricanes Beat Royals 4-1 on Teddy Bear & Toque Toss Night

Jake Elmer scored the teddy bear goal and added another as the Hurricanes beat the Victoria Royals 4-1 Saturday.

Jake Elmer and Ty Prefontaine each had a pair of goals as the Lethbridge Hurricanes got by the visiting Victoria Royals 4-1 Saturday night in front of a big crowd at the ENMAX Centre. Elmer scored the teddy bear goal early in the first period. Over 2700 stuffed animals were collected and 730 toques which will all be donated to local charities in the Lethbridge area. The Canes out shot the Royal 44-31. The win improved the Hurricanes record to 12-13-1 on the season. The Hurricanes have won five of their past six games. The Canes will play their third game in three days Sunday (Dec. 3) when they travel to Edmonton for a late afternoon game at 4:00 pm. - Pat Siedlecki
