Lethbridge City Hall Decorated for Christmas and Accepting Donations for Local Charities

Lethbridge City Hall is once again a collection point for those wanting to drop off donations of food or unwrapped toys this holiday season.

The sights and sounds of the season have come alive at Lethbridge City Hall. Staff volunteered their time to decorate the foyer over the weekend and have set up donation drop-off bins for the Lethbridge Food Bank and Lethbridge Family Services. Mayor Chris Spearman, who lit the tree Monday morning, says it's important the City be part of the process instead of simply asking others to donate. The food bank is accepting non-perishable items while LFS is collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages as part of its Angel Tree campaign. Free noon-hour musical performances in the atrium of Lethbridge City Hall will start Monday, December 4th. For a schedule, visit www.lethbridge.ca/holidayconcerts  -Tina Giesbrecht
