Lethbridge College gets Official Approval for New Architectural Animation Technology Program

The program was announced in early April pending government approval.

Lethbridge College's new Architectural Animation Technology diploma program has officially received government approval.

It was unveiled in early April and now that approval has been granted, applications to the program can be processed.

Instructor, Cherie Reitzel, says students will get hands-on training using virtual reality and 3D modeling technology. She says it's really about communication and teaching students how to animate space and how to have their clients experience that space in virtual reality versus just seeing it on paper.

Reitzel adds a few architects in Lethbridge know about the college's new program and are excited about it.

The program starts this fall.
