The Lethbridge and District Exhibition as well as Cardston County and the Village of Stirling are getting funding from the Community and Regional Economic Support (CARES) program.
Lethbridge Exhibition Park is getting a $1.1 million grant from the provincial government as part of the Community and Regional Economic Support program. Economic Development Minister, Deron Bilous announced Thursday (Nov 23) that 50 newly approved projects across Alberta are receiving over $4 million in total funding. Exhibition Park will use that $1.1 million for detailed design plans, focusing on a trade and convention centre. Elsewhere in the region, Cardston County is getting $70,000 to develop a broadband design plan and the Village of Stirling receives just over $17,000 to put together a regional geographic information system. - Pat Siedlecki
