Lethbridge Gas Prices Drop Ahead of Christmas

The cheapest regular fuel in town right now is on the west side at 97.9-cents per litre.

Gas prices are finally on the decline in Lethbridge just in time for the holidays. Prices spiked during the first week of November to a $1.15 per litre and have remained steady near the $1.20 mark since then. The cheapest regular fuel in town right now is on the west side, currently sitting at 97.9-cents per litre. Dan McTeague, GasBuddy.com petroleum analyst, says another small drop could be possible closer to Christmas, but that isn't expected to last for very long.. He notes that with the second phase of the province's carbon tax set to come into effect January 1, gas prices are anticipated to climb around 2.4-cents per litre early on in the new year. Around the province, Cold Lake has the cheapest gas at 90-cents per litre while Coronation is the most expensive at a dollar-26. -Sam Borsato
