The Lethbridge Hurricanes had plenty of chances Tuesday, but failed to score, losing 6-0 to the Wheaties in Brandon.
A rough outing for the Lethbridge Hurricanes on the road in Brandon, Manitoba. The Canes were shut out 6-0 by the Wheat Kings Tuesday night for their second loss in a row. The Wheaties did most of their damage with the power play going 3 for 6. The Hurricanes though had several chances with the man advantage and finished the night 0 for 8. The loss drops the Canes overall record to 32-27-6 on the season. Lethbridge also failing to gain ground on Medicine Hat for top spot in the WHL's Central Division. The Tigers still have a six point lead in the standings with seven games to go. The Canes will close out a nearly week long road trip Wednesday (Mar. 7) in Moose Jaw against the Western Hockey League's top team. - Pat Siedlecki
