Lethbridge-Medicine Hat Jobless Rate Jumps to 5.8% in February

It's the third straight month this region has experienced an increase in the local jobless rate.

Another month-over-month increase in the local jobless rate.

The Lethbridge-Medicine Hat region now sitting with an unemployment rate of 5.8% as of last month. That's a jump from 5.4% in January.

This area however, is not alone when it comes to people looking for work. Every region of the province experienced an increase in unemployment in February.

The province's jobless rate jumped to 7.3% the highest outside of Atlantic Canada. The overall national jobless rate head steady last month at 5.8%.
