Lethbridge Polar Plunge Fundraiser Raises $34,000 for Special Olympics

On Saturday, 100 people took an icy dip in Henderson Lake to raise money for Special Olympics.

Lethbridge Police are calling it the "biggest and best" Polar Plunge fundraiser to date! On Saturday, 100 people braved the freezing temperatures to take an icy dip in Henderson Lake and raised a total of $34,000 for Special Olympics. The event is hosted by the LPS and a number of fellow southern Alberta policing agencies in partnership with the Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run. Last year, 90 jumpers raised over $23,000. -Tina Giesbrecht
