The Lethbridge Police Commission has renewed the contract of Lethbridge Police Chief Robert A. Davis to January 2021.
The Lethbridge Police Commission has renewed the contract of Lethbridge Police Chief Rob Davis. He began his policing career in 1990 in southern Ontario and has also worked for two first nations police services and served with the RCMP in Ottawa. Davis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and has been recognized for his leadership in combating organized crime and aboriginal gangs. Prior to joining the LPS three years ago, David served as Chief of Police for the Dryden Police Service in Ontario. Lethbridge Police Commission Chair, Peter Deys says Davis was hired to bring an outside perspective to the Service and was given a mandate of change. He says the Commission fully supports the changes to the organization Chief Davis has made over the past three years and believes it is prudent to give him the time to continue with the changes that are in progress and those on the horizon. Davis's contract has been renewed through to 2021. - Brian Treadwell
