Lethbridge Police Investigating After Man Attacked by Machete During Home Invasion

Lethbridge Police are investigating after a man was reportedly attacked with a machete during a home invasion last Saturday.

Lethbridge Police are investigating a home invasion where a man was attacked with a machete. Last Saturday, the  24 year old showed up at Chinook Regional Hospital with injuries to his head. He told hospital staff he'd been attacked by two unknown men after they forced their way into his south side home. The assailants allegedly tied the man up and searched his home before taking off with his wallet and cellphone. Both suspects are described as black males who spoke in a foreign language to each other and with African accents when speaking to the victim. The first male, who was smaller in stature, was wearing a black Adidas hoodie with the hood up and a toque. He was in possession of a two foot machete with an orange handle. The second male, was dressed all in black. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.-Tina Giesbrecht
