Two losses on Friday for Team Alberta, as the Lethbridge rink, skipped by Casey Scheidegger has been eliminated from the national women's curling championship.

Two losses on Friday eliminated Lethbridge's Casey Scheidegger and Team Alberta at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Penticton, BC. After losing to Manitoba's Jennifer Jones in the afternoon 6-2, Scheidegger had to beat the Wild Card team, also from Manitoba in order to advance to the Page Playoffs, however she dropped a 7-4 decision in the evening draw Friday to Kerri Einarson. Scheidegger and Alberta finishing at the national women's curling championship with a 7-4 record. It was her first-ever trip to the Scotties. - Pat Siedlecki
