Naming Process Underway For New Elementary School

Work is now underway to decide on a name for a new elementary school to be built in the north Lethbridge community of Legacy Ridge.

The process is underway to name a new elementary school which will be built in north Lethbridge.  The school will be part of the Holy Spirit Catholic Divison and be constructed in the Legacy Ridge area.  Superintendent Chris Smeaton says they want division staff and stakeholders to be involved in putting names forward.  He notes it's only fitting the school be named after a female saint, adding that the school will surround an area of the city that recognizes pioneer women of Lethbridge.  Construction should begin next spring or summer, with the school opening in the fall of 2016. - Pat Siedlecki
