Oil Kings Beat Hurricanes 4-1 in Edmonton

The Hurricanes, Red Deer, and Edmonton are all in quite the battle for positioning in the WHL's Central Division.

The Edmonton Oil Kings with another big victory over division rival Lethbridge on Sunday as the battle for playoff positioning continues.

Edmonton scored twice in the first period and two more times in the second to take the victory, their second against the Hurricanes this past weekend. The Canes lone goal came in the third period off the stick of Jake Elmer.

Lethbridge had a busy week, going 2-2 in four games. Both wins coming against the Kootenay ICE. The loss drops the Canes overall record to 23-12-4-4 on the season, one point back of Edmonton now. 

The Hurricanes are off until Friday (Jan. 18) when they play host to Red Deer. It'll be the first of back-to-back games against the the Rebels this weekend.
