Parks Canada Lifts Fire Ban at Waterton Lakes National Park Following Cooler Weather

Parks Canada also says in the Waterton townsite, visitors can now access Cameron Falls and the Cameron Day Use Area following a huge wildfire a few weeks ago.

A fire ban has now been lifted at Waterton Lakes National Park. Parks Canada say in the townsite, visitors can now access Cameron Falls and the Cameron Day Use Area. There are four washrooms in that area which are open once again and some picnic areas, shelters and playground are also available in the village. Camping however is still NOT permitted in the Townsite Campground and the Pass Creek Winter Campsite. Waterton re-opened to the public last week. Only the Entrance Road and Chief Mountain Road are open, all other roads within Waterton Park remain closed for safety reasons. - Pat Siedlecki
