Premier Prentice Not Moving Forward With "Building Alberta" Campaign

Alberta Premier Jim Prentice is driving a stake through the big-ticket signature branding campaign of former premier Alison Redford.

Alberta Premier Jim Prentice is driving a stake through the big-ticket signature branding campaign of former premier Alison Redford.  Prentice says the province is not moving forward with the so-called "Building Alberta'' campaign.  Redford was accused of misusing public money by branding every good news government event with the "Building Alberta'' name and logo, which included Progressive Conservative party colours.  The government spent a million dollars alone on close to 300 "Building Alberta'' signs that remain studded across the landscape announcing everything from road repairs to school construction.  Prentice even mocked the campaign in a speech to the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association in Edmonton.  He told the crowd Albertans don't want 300 signs in the ground; they want results. - The Canadian Press
