Pincher Creek RCMP are looking into a couple of incidents believed to be linked at the Beaver Mines Lake Provincial Campground.

Pincher Creek RCMP along with Alberta Conservation Officers are investigating a poaching incident.

Mounties say last Thursday (Feb. 28), they were called to a break-in at the Beaver Mines Lake Provincial Campground.

Locks to several gates had been cut and storage containers were then busted into. Suspects stole six "Specialized" Fat Bikes, helmets, sets of handlebar mittens and seat storage bags, worth more than $10,000.

When the officers were on scene they noted a blood trail near the containers that led them to a moose head, a cape, and entrails from a field dressed moose.

Police believe these incidents are connected and committed by the same person or people.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pincher Creek RCMP.
