RCMP Charge Brothers With Second Degree Murder in Blood Reserve Homicide

36 year old Stanley Big Sorrel Horse and 32 year old Justin Big Sorrel Horse have been charged in the death of 26 year old Lance Bearhat in Stand-Off on February 23rd.

Two brothers have been charged in connection to a recent murder on the Blood Reserve. Back on February 23rd, Blood Tribe Police were called about a man being in distress in Stand-Off. 26 year old Rance Bearhat was taken to hospital where he died. Shortly after, RCMP Major Crimes took over what was a homicide investigation. Mounties, along with Blood Tribe Police have now arrested 36 year old Stanley Big Sorrel Horse and 32 year old Justin Big Sorrel Horse. Both have been charged with second degree murder in Bearhat's death. The two brothers will appear in Lethbridge provincial court this week, Stanley on Monday (Mar. 5) and Justin on Wednesday (Mar. 7). RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
