The Kelowna Rockets scored with under 30 seconds to go in OT Wednesday to beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-3.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes dropping their third game in a row Wednesday, losing at home 4-3 to the visiting Kelowna Rockets. It was a back-and-forth game all night long with the Rockets getting the game winner with less than 30 seconds to go in OT. Jadon Joseph, Jordy Bellerive, and Igor Merezhko scored for the Canes in this one. Kelowna out shot the Hurricanes 49-28. The loss drops the Canes overall record to 22-21-5 on the season. The Hurricanes will have their work cut out for them this weekend, when the WHL's top team, the Moose Jaw Warriors roll into Lethbridge on Friday night. The Warriors have just 7 regulation losses in 48 games this season. - Pat Siedlecki
