Scheidegger Rink Prepared to Represent Alberta in National Scotties Tournament

Casey Scheidegger and her rink from Lethbridge advanced to the national Scotties by winning the provincial title earlier this month.

A big send off Tuesday night (Jan. 23) at the Lethbridge Curling Club for Casey Scheidegger and her team, as the local rink heads off to represent Alberta at the national women's curling championship. Scheidegger -- who will celebrate her 30th birthday during the national tournament next week -- advanced to the Scotties by winning the provincial title earlier this month. She says she's honoured to be representing not only Alberta, but especially the Lethbridge area. The national Scotties gets going this weekend (Jan. 27) in Penticton, BC. Scheidegger plays her first game Saturday (Jan. 27) against Ontario. -Pat Siedlecki
