Search Continues For New Lethbridge Police Chief

Police Commission Chair Sandy McKay says the process to find a new Chief has been going since Tom McKenzie announced his plans to retire back in January.

The Lethbridge Regional Police Commission continues its search for a new Chief of Police. Tom McKenzie announced early this year that he'd be retiring this fall after a long career with the LRPS. Commission Chair Sandy McKay says the search for his replacement is a long process. He says a decision has not be made at this time as to who will replace Chief McKenzie in the LRPS's top job. He notes it's an on-going, long and complicated process to make sure they get the right person for the job.
