UPDATE: Suspect Being Sought After Break-in at Lethbridge Courthouse

Video from the courthouse catches the suspect on the move

Money was stolen after a man broken into the Lethbridge courthouse over the weekend.

UPDATE:  Lethbridge Police now say the man wanted for breaking into the courthouse Sunday night is also the suspect in a string of other break and enters in that area.

He manged to bust open a side door at the courthouse on 4th street south and is seen on video surveillance going into the family services office and stealing money from a cash box. The suspect also tried getting into other rooms but was unsuccessful.
 
Police now say the man is suspected of stealing a wallet from both the Chancery Court Building on April 6th and the Lethbridge County office on April 9th. He's also wanted in connection to a break-in on Sunday at the Commerce Court building where offices were ransacked and an attempted break and enter at the Chancery Court building the same day.
 
Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Lethbridge Police are hoping to get a man back into the same building he's accused of breaking into.

On Sunday night (Apr. 14), police say someone managed to bust open a side door at the courthouse on 4th Street South.

The suspect is seen on video surveillance going into the family services office and then stealing money from a cash box in the law library office. He also tried getting into a few other rooms, however unsuccessful.

LPS believe money is the only thing that was stolen. Damage is estimated at around $1,500.
