The town of Taber has appointed a committee to explore options for the possible development of a local arts facility.

The town of Taber is exploring its options for the possible development of a local arts facility.  The town has appointed a Performing Arts Centre committee to determine whether such a venue would be of value to the community.  Committee Chair Doug Emek tells CJOC News the group of seven will be assessing the feasibility through public consultations in an effort to identify the best fit for Taber.  An arts facility survey is available at the town's office which can be completed and returned by October 15th.  An open house will also be held at the Taber Auditorium on October 28th beginning at 7pm. - Tom Roulston
