Tigers Dump Hurricanes 4-2 in First Game Following WHL's Christmas Break

A late third period goal lifted the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 4-2 win over the Hurricanes Wednesday night.

The Tigers broke a 2-2 tie with less than three minutes to go in the third period as they beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-2 Wednesday night in Medicine Hat. Jordy Bellerive and Lane Zablocki scored the Hurricanes in this game. The shots favoured Medicine Hat 40-29. The Tigers moved 8 points ahead of Lethbridge in the Central Division with the victory. The loss drops the Hurricanes overall record to 15-17-2 on the season. The Canes will look to repay the favour Friday (Dec. 29) when they host the Tigers in the rematch at the ENMAX Centre. - Pat Siedlecki
