Traffic Stop in Downtown Lethbridge Nets $12,000 in Carfentanil

A member of the Downtown Policing Unit noticed a truck being driven erratically and initiated a traffic stop.

A Lethbridge man is facing a number of drug-related charges after a vehicle was pulled over in the city earlier this month.
 
On the evening of April 5th, a member of the Downtown Policing Unit noticed a truck being driven erratically around the library. That prompted a traffic stop which netted purple carfentanil, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, stolen property and cash. The street value of the carfentanil is estimated at around $12,000.
 
48 year old Jason Anthony Morin has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of a stolen credit card and breach of probation.
