Trial Decision Expected in December for Baby Homicide Case

An agent for Tyler Hogan's lawyer says an out of town judge and crown will be available to make the decision on December 13.

A decision is expected before the end of the year on whether a Lethbridge man accused in the death of a nine month boy should proceed to trial. An agent for Tyler Hogan's lawyer, Tonii Roulston, made an appearance in court Friday morning (Oct. 6), noting that an out of town judge and crown will be available to make the decision on December 13 at the Lethbridge Courthouse. His preliminary hearing was completed in mid-August. The 41-year old is charged with second degree murder. Police say Austin Wright died in April 2016 of blunt force trauma. According to investigators, the baby boy was reportedly in the care of his mother's boyfriend at the time. -Sam Borsato
