Victim's Family Says Serial Killer Cody Legebokoff Moved to Medium Security Institution

Cody Legebokoff, 29

The mother of a victim of one of Canada's youngest serial killers is outraged after learning that the man responsible for her daughter's death has been moved to a medium security facility.

In a Facebook post this week, Louanne Montgomery says her family was notified that Cody Legebokoff was transferred from the maximum security Kent Institution in British Columbia to the medium security Warkworth Institution in Ontario. The move happened on Jan. 23, according to a letter sent to Montgomery.
Natasha Montgomery is one of Legebokoff's four victims. The now 29-year old man was convicted on four counts of first degree murder and sentenced in 2014 to life in prison with no parole for 25 years.
He lived in Lethbridge for a period of time before moving to Prince George, where the murders took place.
Montogomery urges that Legebokoff will try to escape, and is demanding that he remain under maximum security because he poses a high safety risk to women and girls.
