Wheat Kings Beat Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-1; Canes Win Streak Ends at Four Games

The Lethbridge Hurricanes will try and start a new win streak Saturday when the Victoria Royals come to town.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes had their four game win streak end Friday night at home with a 5-1 loss to the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings. The Canes found themselves down 3-0 after the first period and just couldn't recover. Lethbridge did break Brandon's shut out bid midway through the third period when Calen Addison scored the lone goal for the home team. The Wheaties out shot the Canes 38-33 on the night. The loss drops the Hurricanes overall record to 11-13-1 on the season. The Canes will now play their second game in a three games in three days weekend Saturday (Dec. 2) when the Victoria Royals come to town. It's also the Hurricanes annual teddy bear and toque toss night. Game time is 7:00 pm MST. - Pat Siedlecki
