WHL: Hurricanes Slip Passed Tigers 5-4 at ENMAX Centre

The Hurricanes earned a 5-4 home ice win Friday over the rival Medicine Hat Tigers.

Five different goal scorers helped the Hurricanes get by the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers 5-4 Friday night at the ENMAX Centre. Zane Franklin scored the game winner with less than 8 minutes to go in the third period. Igor Merezhko, Dylan Cozens, Giorgio Estpehan, and Jordy Bellerive scored the others for Lethbridge. The victory improves the Canes overall record to 16-17-2 on the season and back to within six points of the Tigers in the WHL's Central Division. The Canes will close out their 2017 portion of the schedule Saturday (Dec. 30) when they head to Calgary. - Pat Siedlecki
