Fours goals in the second period powered the Kootenay ICE to a 7-3 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Tuesday night. Jordy Bellerive, Keltie Jeri-Leon, and Brad Morrison scored for the Canes in a losing cause. It was a 1-1 game after the first period until the ICE blew things wide open in the second, chasing goaltender Logan Flodell. The loss drops the Hurricanes overall record to 22-21-4 on the season. The Canes also failed to gain any more ground on Medicine Hat for top spot in the Central Division. Lethbridge returns home Wednesday (Jan. 24) to host the visiting Kelowna Rockets. - Pat Siedlecki
