59 year old April Dawn Irving remains behind bars at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre. On Wednesday she had the case adjourned to February 5th.

A woman accused of animal cruelty was back in a Lethbridge courtroom Wednesday (Jan. 30).

59 year old April Dawn Irving vanished a few years ago and was rearrested this month in Manitoba and brought back to Alberta. She was wanted on outstanding warrants for animal cruelty near Milk River and also faces a charge of failing to appear in court.

Irving, who's behind bars at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre, told the judge Wednesday she has concerns about medical coverage and also about wearing head coverings in jail.

Irving has now retained a legal aid lawyer. She'll be back in court February 5th.
